not all chairs are created equal

Tuesday, May. 15, 2007 | 6:28 PM

"don't worry about anything. instead, pray about everything," says the guy on the radio.

i am slowly learning this.

...

yesterday was a pretty busy day again, though not as much as sunday was. it was also a hot day, up in the 80's. i slept completely through from about 5 am to 2 pm. i got up, checked on the bunnies, ate and got ready to go and stuff. at about 3:30, my dad and i headed off to find a chair.

first we went to fred's, because i wanted to get a birthday card and some stickers for that little girl i'm sponsoring. i drove there. then we went to a place called "city liquidators." he drove there, because he didn't know exactly where the building was located. i was quite amazed by the place. it was like chair heaven.

we looked around for a while, but i couldn't find a chair i really liked. i think i was too picky. i wanted something comfortable that would easily lean back, with a somewhat high back, padded arms, and made of a smooth material that cat and dog hair wouldn't easily stick to. as i sat in a multitude of chairs, i really gained an appreciation for my chair.

we left with nothing. i think i'm gonna have to go back and be less picky. i think i'll have to give up on the smooth surface, and maybe construct my own arm pads or something.

next we went to my dad's work, because he had to fill the tank. i was planning on waiting in the car. i leaned back in the chair, listening to u2 blasting from a nearby apartment. i tried to be patient, but it was so hot. i knew it would give me a headache if i went inside, but i went in anyway, because he was taking too long, and i knew it would be cooler there. i took pictures while i waited for him to finish.

then we went to the barn. i got to drive there, and then home. we met my mom at home, who had gotten back just a few minutes before us. i was glad to have her back, because she does the laundry.

after doing a few things, i gave the dogs baths. they'd really been needing it for a long time. that took quite a few hours, though they both handled it pretty well.

i took a before and after picture of whiley. i bathed him, trimmed him and brushed him. i'm no professional dog groomer, but i think he looks better.

before...

and after

so... that was pretty much my day yesterday.
