mt. st. helens

Saturday, Jul. 11, 2009 | 7:22 PM

for the 4th of july, david's parents went to idaho and left him alone at the house for several days. so i went over there to keep him company, and to enjoy being at his house without his parents.

i arrived thursday evening, and spent all of friday there. then, on saturday, we decided to see fireworks at the waterfront park in portland. on sunday, we headed up to washington and visited mt. st. helens.

we were planning on going on a hike four miles along an appropriately named "windy ridge." unfortunatley the volcano was quite dusty that day, and the wind was blowing dust in our eyes. we had to turn around. still, it was fun and stuff. i had never been there before.

here is the first chunk of pictures:

the "blast zone" has many dead trees and logs

look at this cutie

this car had a very bad day

...but then it grew some flowers

see that white stuff out on that lake? those are logs. many, many logs.

i think this is mt. adams

there is the dusty mt. st. helens

to be continued...
