i feel better

Saturday, Apr. 05, 2008 | 4:39 AM

i feel a bit better today than have been lately. i did a lot of cleaning.

those balloons really messed up my cleaning schedule. there were so many of them, that it would have been too hard to clean the litterbox with them there, so i just didn't clean it...same thing with the rabbit cage. i didn't want to take my ferrets into my room with all of the balloons, so i didn't clean their cage either, because i had no other place to put them while cleaning.

so today (friday), i finally popped the balloons and did a bunch of cleaning. now i feel better because i'm breathing cleaner air, and have a sense of accomplishment, and got some exercise with all of that cleaning (it's a lot harder work than you would think.)

in other news, i was thinking about how i stated, "life likes to knock me back down every time i stand up."

i don't think i can stop life from pushing me, so what i have to do is make myself not so pushable. that takes strength though, and i am weak. that's where God comes in. he said that his strength is made perfect in my weakness. i need to depend on him to help me. and that's where people come in. he helps us in many different ways, but one of those ways is definitely other people. that's more or less what he calls us to do -- help people. so here's where i realize that i'm incredibly lucky, and that God is incredibly good. when bryce stepped away, i wasn't really left with nothing to fall back on. i just felt that way because i was wanting something very specific...but often what we want isn't exactly what we need. i had a rather closed mind.

i realized that melissa and joel are people that don't come along very often...and i'm really sorry for taking that for granted.

...

speaking of helping other people... i'm thinking about volunteering at shepherd's door. what do you think?
