new stuff at sendmeavoicemail.com, and you can like call me nowSaturday, Dec. 22, 2007 | 2:17 AM so here's an update on my voicemail site. first of all, i have 1,275 voicemails at the moment, in case you haven't checked in a while. the service i was using for my phone number and voicemail box was privatephone.com. now suddenly, they are ending their service on the 31st. luckily, a caller alerted me to this. it would have probably taken me a while to figure it out. i would just think i wasn't getting any voicemails. so after searching all night for a new service, i found grandcentral.com, which i guess has recently been purched by google. they have it set to invite only at the moment... which is incredibly stupid if you ask me. so i posted on craiglist asking for an invite, and amazingly, i got one. so now sendmeavoicemail.com has a new phone number... 503-308-4161. it actually has an actual greeting recorded by me this time, instead of a computer voice. i also made a greeting at the old number, telling people that the number is changing. you should call it (503-766-2959) and listen to how bad i am at recording messages. i sound really weird over the phone. granted, i am sick still. i also added a feature. i decided, since i could, that i'd make another number, and have this one ring my cell phone. i offered it up on the site as a number they can call if they want to possibly get an answer. so like, if i get a call from that number, i know it's a voicemail caller, and i can answer it if i want. i figure, there's no harm. they don't know my actual phone number. i do suck at talking, but i don't think either of us would come into it with any expectations. i don't know, it might be interesting. and i can always hang up and even block numbers, too. or set it to not ring my phone, if it gets troublesome. i can also record these calls at the push of a button. so yeah, that number is 503-308-4203. feel free to call it. am i crazy? yeah, probably... but we all knew that already, right? ...................... .......................................... ............................................. .......................... ....................... .......................... ................................................... ................................ .................. ...................... .......................................... ............................................. .......................... ....................... .......................... ................................................... ................................ .................. ...................... .......................................... ............................................. .......................... ....................... .......................... ................................................... ................................ .................. |
