jack fassel at mhcc is a bad teacher

Friday, Nov. 02, 2007 | 4:30 PM

all week, i wanted to get started on the assignment for my online spreadsheet class. i just wasn't able to, until last night. it was due today at 1:30 pm.

so i was working on it last night, and i was working hard to make it look real nice, doing somewhat more than i needed to. i worked on it until almost 5 am. then i ran into a problem. i couldn't figure out how to do something i was supposed to do, and couldn't find anything in the book about it.

so i emailed my teacher asking for help. obviously i wouldn't get a response until later that morning, so that would force me to finish it and turn it in after going to bed and waking up. so i also sent him off this email:

Is it a huge problem if I turn it in today, but after 1:30 PM? I'm sick and can't make myself wake up after just like 6 hours of sleep.

i went to bed not worrying about it, because i couldn't imagine a teacher being mean enough to say no. but then i woke up at 4, finding this response:

turn in something by the deadline...
anything is better than nothing...
(recall, I don't extend deadlines for any reason --
even valid reasons)

what a freakin jerk! like i was going to even be seeing that by 1:30 anyway. the place to turn it in has even disappeared. that makes me really, really mad.
