i actually believed him

last night, my dad and i went over to bobby's house because they wanted 20 dollars. while we were there, my dad asked about me taking paris to the harvest party at the church. of course bobby didn't like the idea, even after my dad asked paris, and she said, "yeah! i wanna go to the party! i've never been to a halloween party before!"

then today, my dad calls me around 4. he said that bobby called him and said he'd bring her over between 6:30 and 7, and i could take her. i assumed that maybe jen talked him into it, because the impression i got was that she liked the idea.

so i was all ready at 6, and i sat in the living room, waiting. i was really excited. at 7, my dad called him. they were still out trick or treating, he said, and would call when they were done. so i kept waiting. i kept wating until the party at the church had ended. at 8:30, my dad called to tell bobby that i was disappointed.

that wasn't good enough for me though. i sent off this email, that i'm not sure if he's even gonna get:

hey bobby, thanks. what a great bother. it's great getting so excited and being let down. i love feeling depressed and disappointed. crying is fun. i can tell you really meant it when, before paris was born, you talked about how you wanted me to be a part of her life.

and why don't you keep killing yourself with your herion. that'll really make your sister who actually cares about you really happy. i can't wait to attend the funeral and watch paris cry.

...but then i took off the last sentence just before sending it.

i am so very disappointed.
